■ Notice regarding Accommodation Tax in Hokkaido (from April 2026)

In Hokkaido, an accommodation tax will be introduced for stays starting from Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
This tax will be used to promote tourism, contributing to the development of the local community and Hokkaido's economy.

Effective Date :
For stays starting from Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
This applies to all reservations, including those made prior to this announcement.
Who is Subject to the Tax:
All guests staying at accommodation facilities in Hokkaido, including children.

Hokkaido Accommodation Tax Amount:
The tax amount varies depending on the accommodation fee per person, per night:
Up to ¥19,999: ¥100
¥20,000 to ¥49,999: ¥200
¥50,000 and above: ¥500
